CNHC Core Curriculum for the Professional Practice of Reiki

The CNHC Core Curriculum is intended to help prepare the Reiki student to run a professional Reiki practice within a public setting. It is not aimed for at home Reiki practitioners working with family and friends. It is not about how Reiki is taught, but about the professional aspects of practice. Aside from the universal need to understand each individual style’s history of Reiki, the lineage a student receives and the ability to give a Reiki treatment according to each Reiki style, each Reiki Master/Teacher is expected to teach Reiki-specific content in line with that passed on in their style of Reiki.

The Core Curriculum is based on the National Occupation Standards for Reiki as agreed with Skills for Health – Skills for Health, a not-for-profit organisation committed to the development of an improved and sustainable healthcare workforce across the UK. Established in 2002 as the Sector Skills Council for Health for the UK health sector, Skills for Health helps to inform policy and standards focusing on health, education and improving the wider wellbeing of public health.
